Mixed Vegetables Beef [Chapche]
Enough with spicy dishes. This is one of foreigners' favorite dishes. It's noodle blended with mixed vegetables
that taste good as it looks. Now you can enjoy the taste of Korea with out burning your tongue!
Ingredients (4 servings):
5-oz. of lean beef
A:
2-T of soy sauce
1-T sesame oil
1-t sugar
1/2 cooking wine, minced garlic, roasted sesame seeds, finely chopped green onion
1 3/4-oz. of bean threads
1 green onion
4 dried mushrooms, soaked in water
1-oz. of carrot
1/3-oz. of dried cloud ear mushrooms, soaked in water
1 green pepper
2/3-t salad oil
salt and pepper
B:
1-t of roasted sesame seeds
2/3-t of soy sauce
1/3-t of sugar
1/3 sesame oil
minced garlic
pepper
Procedures
- In salted boiling water, cook bean threads for 3--4 minutes until the color turns transparent. Remove from
heat.
- Rinse with cold water until the threads are not sticky. Then drain, and cut them into thirds.
- Cut beef into julienne strips
- In a bowl, combine A and ad beef to marinate.
- Slice green onion in 2-inch length
- Remove the stem from mushrooms and cut them into strips.
- Cut ear mushrooms into bite size pieces. Cut carrot and green peppers into thin strips.
- Heat salad oil in a skillet, and add green onion. Cook briefly and season with salt and pepper. In the
same manner, cook all the vegetables.
- Heat salad oil in a skillet and cook beef strips
- In a bowl, combine B. Add bean threads and mix well
- Add vegetables and beef. Mix lightly and serve.
